2 + 2 = 08

3 + 3 = 18

5 + 5 = 50

Then 6 + 6 = ?????

**Solution:**

Let’s denote every row in the above equation as i), ii), iii) and iv).

From the 1st row of equation, we get 2 + 2 = 08

If we multiply 2 with 2, we get 2 * 2 = 4, then multiplying 4 with 2 again we get: 4 * 2 = 8 or 08

Similarly from the 2nd row of equation, we get 3 + 3 = 18

Again, If we multiply 3 with 3, we get 3 * 3 = 9, and then multiplying 9 with 2 again we get: 9 * 2 = 18

From the 3rd row of equation, we get 5 + 5 = 50

Again, If we multiply 5 with 5, we get 5 * 5 = 25, and then multiplying 25 with 2 again we get: 25 * 2 = 50

Applying the same rule in case of the last row of equation, we get:

6 + 6 = 6 * 6 = 36, now 36 * 2 = 72 (?????)

So, the question mark will be replaced with 72…..

**Exercise 2:**

Apple + Apple + Apple = 30

Apple + Banana + Banana = 18

Banana – Coconut = 2

So, Banana + Coconut + Apple = ?????

**Solution:**

Let’s denote every row in the above equation as i), ii), and iii)

From the 1st row of equation, we get Apple + Apple + Apple = 30

So, 3 * Apple = 30 ∴ Apple = 30/3 = 10

∴ Value of 1 Apple = 10

Similarly from the 2nd row of equation, we get Apple + Banana + Banana = 18

or Apple + 2Bananas = 18

∴ 10 + 2Bananas = 18

∴ 2Bananas = 18 – 10 = 8

∴ 1 Banana = 8/2 = 4

Now from the 3rd row of equation, we get Banana – Coconut = 2

∴ 4 – Coconut = 2

∴ Coconut = 4 – 2 = 2

Now, putting the value of each fruit, we get:

Banana + Coconut + Apple = 4 + 2 + 10 = 16 (?????)

Circle + Circle + Circle = 6

Rohmbus + Circle = 7

Triangle – Rohmbus = 76

Then Circle + Rohmbus + Triangle = ?????

**Solution:**

Let’s denote every row in the above equation as i), ii), and iii)

From the 1st row of equation, we get Circle + Circle + Circle = 6

So, 3 * Circle = 30 ∴ Circle = 6/3 = 2

∴ Value of 1 Circle = 2

Similarly from the 2nd row of equation, we get Rohmbus + Circle = 7

∴ Rohmbus + 2 = 7

∴ Rohmbus = 7 – 2 = 5

Now from the 3rd row of equation, we get Triangle – Rohmbus = 76

∴ Triangle – 5 = 76

∴ Triangle = 76 + 5 = 81

Now, putting the value of each diagram, we get:

Circle + Rohmbus + Triangle = 2 + 5 + 81 = 88 (?????)

**Exercise 4:**

smiling face + smiling face + smiling face = 9

smiling face + normal face = 13

normal face – unhappy face = 4

Then smiling face + normal face + unhappy face = ?????

**Solution:**

Let’s denote every row in the above equation as i), ii), and iii)

From the 1st row of equation, we get smiling face + smiling face + smiling face = 9

So, 3 * smiling face = 9 ∴ smiling face = 9/3 = 3

Similarly from the 2nd row of equation, we get smiling face + normal face = 13

∴ 3 + normal face = 13

∴ normal face = 13 – 3 = 10

Now from the 3rd row of equation, we get normal face – unhappy face = 4

∴ 10 – unhappy face = 4

∴ unhappy face = 10-4 = 6

Now, putting the value of each emoticon, we get:

smiling face + normal face + unhappy face = 3 + 10 + 6 = 19 (?????)

1 + 4 = 10

2 + 8 = 20

4 + 16 = 40

8 + 32 = ?????

**Solution:**

Let’s denote every row in the above equation as i), ii), iii) and iv).

From the 1st row of equation, we get 1 + 4 = 10

If we add the two digits from L.H.S in the 1st equation we get 1+4 = 5

Now, multiply 5 with 2, we get 5 * 2 = 10

So the actual logic is 2 * (L.H.S digit1 + L.H.S digit2) = Value of R.H.S

Similarly from the 2nd row of equation, If we add the two digits from L.H.S in the 2nd equation we get 2+8 = 10

Now, multiply 10 with 2, we get 10 * 2 = 20

Again, from the 3rd row of equation, If we add the two digits from L.H.S in the 1st equation we get 4+16 = 20

Now, multiply 20 with 2, we get 20 * 2 = 40

Applying the same rule in case of the last row of equation, we get:

2 * (8 + 32) = 2 * 40 = 80 (?????)
